The Piston Assembly

The piston assembly is basically a hydraulic cylinder with a set of rollers in the rod end. The roller set is guided in two slots enabling it to take up radial forces generated when the mid roller is rotating against the cam elements.

The oil flow in and out of the cylinder can be controlled mechanically by the piston, or electrically by an electronic unit.
