Today's modern hydraulic pumps are usually electronic controlled, especially in industrial applications. Electronic system can be further developed to control the opening and closing of the valves on the piston assemblies, when the roller sets are in top or bottom positions of the cam elements. For a mechanically controlled valve system, no extra electronic system is necessary.

Electronic control of the piston assemblies makes possible the programming of sophisticated operating parameters.
